English Jacopo Massa, born in Italy on May 31, 1987, has been involved in music since the age of 6.
Nobody knows how. He is still keeping this a secret which, one day, he swears, will be revealed.
His first approach to singing dates back to those early years, certainly prompted by the strong influence of great traditional italian singers and musicians.
In the late Nineties, he began singing everywhere he could, enjoying and increasing publicity in the whole of northern Italy. He took part in contests, concerts, charity performances, radio and tv programmes not only in his native country.
He won a lot of festivals and always with huge success.
Girls begun calling him with the English nickname “JM” that would become his international stage name. Simple, easy to remember and very cool like its new logo.
In recent years JM has matured as a songwriter and has decided to write his own songs especially because he wanted share his own deeply felt emotions with people in front of the stage.
However, his search for a well-defined expressive identity has continued.
His main attributes are style, incredible voice range, variety and quality of songs with brilliant artistic content, combined with the disarming poignancy of JM’s lyrics.
He is pursuing new experiences and revolutionary musical directions, trying to reach the heart of as many people as possible, with pure, emotional songs and positive messages. “Live performance allows me to fly and then I become addicted to it” JM says.
The aim is to unite enjoyment and the sharing of experience, made relevant through the unique universal language of music.
People who recently saw him on stage are said to have seen a sort of angel for real. They are sure JM is one of the most interesting and talented new artists in Italy who could become the next big singer in his country and abroad.
Jacopo Massa has been selected among the best new italian artists by the "Radar" project, an important commission chaired by the journalists, music critics and talent scouts Massimo Cotto and Franco Zanetti in partnership with Radio Italia - Video Italia.
In 2008 JM wrote and autoproduced his first successful album called “Energia Emotiva” which he then performed live at important venues such as clubs, theatres, parks, squares and events like “Don’t Drink & Drive” with the well known italian emotronik band “dARI”, culminating in an explosive concert with the rock band Litesound in front of thousands enthusiastic fans at the Palace Of Sports in Minsk (Belarus).
From the very beginning of 2010, the official music video "Solo per Te" has been broadcast on MTV and on many other channels.
JM is always on the go and always ready to seize every opportunity.
